SCRIPTURE BREAK FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT – BE COURAGEOUS! Fight the good fight of faith. Have faith in God. Continually draw courage from the Word of God. Living by faith takes courage - to stand up in the face of sickness, worries, cares, troubles, lack, poverty or any other worldly giants you face. The battle of faith isn't fought only once, but daily. Keep living in victory by fighting the good fight of faith. Like Joshua obeyed the Lord and meditated on His Word day and night, so must we. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. 1 John 5:5 (NKJV) Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

SCRIPTURE BREAK PLEASE HIM Choose to please Him! Stop fearing the worldly race, the rat race and make a solid decision to glorify Jesus daily in your home, your work, your school, your church and everywhere. Wherever HE places you, remember that you are serving Him, you are the Body of Christ on a mission for Him! He will reward you for your diligence and faithfulness. Decide by your will to rejoice, to walk in peace, and to demonstrate HIS love and compassion. You are salt and light. HE is with you to empower you to walk in a manner worthy of your calling. August 16, 2019 - BLESSED TO GIVE
SCRIPTURE BREAK BLESSED TO GIVE It is more blessed to give! God wants us to have a giving spirit. Giving blesses many - but it blesses Him the most. Give of yourself, give your time, give your counsel, give a smile, give a kind word to someone who is having a bad day, it blesses Him. You are displaying His fruit when you show kindness. You are displaying His love when you sacrifice what you need or what you want in order to give someone else what they need and what they want. Remember, when you do these things unto the Lord, there will be a great reward for you. Acts 20:35 (ASV) In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring ye ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV) Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Luke 6:38 (NIV) Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Matthew 6:3-4 (NIV) But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Deuteronomy 16:17 (NKJV) Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord your God which He has given you. August 14, 2019 - FOCUS ON HIM
SCRIPTURE BREAK FOCUS ON HIM When things don't go your way. When your day doesn't go the way you planned it. When you run into unexpected problems. When you experience setbacks, stop looking at what went wrong. Focus on Him! Start looking to HIM. Start listening for HIS voice. Start expecting HIM to show you a way. Everything is not going to go your way all the time. But you can react to this with peaceful assurance or you can react out of disappointment. It depends on where you put your focus. Put your focus ON HIM and not what went wrong. Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT) 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Colossians 3:2 (AMP) Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. John 10:27 (NLT) My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. Isaiah 26:3 (AMP) You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].
