August 14, 2022 - FOCUS ON HIM
When things don't go your way. When your day doesn't go the way you planned it. When you run into unexpected problems. When you experience setbacks, stop looking at what went wrong. Focus on Him! Start looking to HIM. Start listening for HIS voice. Start expecting HIM to show you a way. Everything is not going to go your way all the time. But you can react to this with peaceful assurance or you can react out of disappointment. It depends on where you put your focus. Put your focus ON HIM and not what went wrong. Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT) 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. August 11, 2022 - HIS PEACE
Keep your peace. Don't let people steal or pull you into their storm pull them into your peace. Don't let situations steal it. Don't let emotions steal it. Don't let the devil steal it. Peace is a priceless commodity, and it is easier to keep than it is to get back. God's peace dwells on the inside of you. Jesus is our Prince of Peace. So hold on to HIM, follow HIM, and watch HIM, and you will stay in perfect peace. Colossians 3:15 (NLT) And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. August 08, 2022 - DISTRACTIONS
Don't allow yourself to be distracted. Distractions (work, media, hobbies, relationships, troubles, worries, fears, self ) will come to compete for your attention. Distractions have a time-stealing agenda that aims to set you back or stop you. But you can choose not to be distracted. You can also choose not to give your attention to the distraction. Shut the door on unnecessary distractions. Choose to stay focused - choose to stay stirred-up. Deny distractions their power over you. 1 Corinthians 7:35 (ERV) I am saying this to help you. I am not trying to limit you, but I want you to live in the right way. And I want you to give yourselves fully to the Lord without giving your time to other things. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (AMP) No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy]. August 06, 2022 - STIR UP THE GIFT
When you feel empty and you feel you don't have what God has called you to do. The Word of God gives clear command how to handle those situations in your life: Stir up the gift inside you. Everything you'll ever need to accomplish what God has called you to do has been placed inside you. But only you can do the stirring up! Faith, Power, Love, and Jesus are inside you. So I stir up the gift that's in me. I'm not going to wait until I feel stirred up. I'm stepping out in faith. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 2 Timothy 1:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Welcome God all the way into parts of your life, your soul that cause you stress, fear, worry and sorrow. Welcome Him into parts of your heart that are not fully submitted to Him. Welcome Him into your mind, will, and emotions. Welcome Him into your family and into your workplace. Welcome Him into every part of who you are, and He will fill you with all of HIM. But He will not come uninvited. He stands at the door and knocks. Let go of everything that keeps you from Him. OPEN AND WELCOME GOD ALL THE WAY IN. 1 John 4:12 (NLT) No one has ever seen God. August 01, 2022 - DO IT FOR THE LORD
God wants us to have a generous/giving spirit. Our generosity blesses many - but it blesses Him the most. Every time you give of yourself, give your time, share your counsel, give a smile, give a kind word to someone who is having a bad day, it blesses Him. You are displaying His fruit when you show kindness. You are displaying His love when you sacrifice what you need or what you want in order to give someone else what they need and what they want. Remember this, when you do these things unto the Lord, there will be a great reward. DO EVERYTHING UNTO THE LORD. Colossians 3:23-24 (NKJV) 23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. Ephesians 6:7 (NLT) Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT) 22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Hebrews 6:10 (NIV) God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
